An allergy is a physical form of manifestation of a weakened or damaged immune system reacting inversely to a harmless substance.It can also be a reaction to the body itself for instance dermatitis, asthman, irritable-bowel syndrome and arthritis. But an allergy is not a disease by itself. Nature designed the immune system of humans and animals to protect the body from those substances that may irritate or damage it in some way. The immune response is directly tied in with the digestice system, which then rejects that item through vomitting or diarrhea. But if the substance being rejected is harmless then it becomes an allergy.

1) Poor diet (Canned versus raw)

Raw food is essentially much more natural in terms of nutrients and vitamins. It is also easier to be digested. Raw food increases the enzymatic activities in the gut and bowel making pets look and feel health. Raw food also helps to strengthen the immune systems making it more resistance to infectious diseases.

Raw food diets prompted animals to eat less. The higher amount of mineral salts in a raw-food diet satisfies an animal's hunger better than does cooked or canned food.

2) Vaccinations

Certain vets insists that some type of vaccines are necessary pointing out that laws mandate that pets are to be immunized. However some vets also responded by labelling all vaccines as 'poisons to an animal's immune system'. Animals were created with inbuilt immune systems, therefore any additional chemicals will or might affect their already properly set-up system.

However, if there are certain reasons that requires the pets to be vaccinated if cases of disease or illness it is more than necessary to do so.

3) Inbreeding

Recent history of cosmetics breeding practises among cat and dog breeders is replete with bad news from animals and gross deformities, lost instincts, altered and bizarre behaviour to specific health problems.

While it is true that the alley cat or junkyard dog may never win any awards at pet shows, they will thrive a lot better than those pampered pets with papered pedigrees a mile long.

Abscess

Abscess is the collection of pus in part of the body, formed by tissue disintegration and surrounded by an inflamed area.

It usually happens when your poor cute little cat gets wounded through either physical fights with other cats or simply injured itself. If the wound is not properly treated an infection may occur and abscess will form.

This can be prevented by gently rubbing the edge of the wounded area. Make sure all loose hair/fur or any small particles is removed leaving the bare wound. The surrounding hair/fur should be trimmed to ensure cleanliness. A little dab of hydrogen peroxide or any anti-bacterial solution can be used to clean the area around the wound. Use a fair amount of aloe vera gel and slowly apply it on the wound itself.

This will help your lovely cat to fight infection by increasing its immune system. Usually a cats that has strong immune body system will resist infection and heal rather quickly.

An important advise to take note is abscesses can be very serious to cats if it is left untreated. In worst case scenario, cats can experience blood poisoning due to the strong infection.
